After a rocket attack that occurred in the suburb and claimed the lives of dozens of people, many residents of the Beit-Lahiya area were forced to flee their homes. This strike became the cause of a mass exodus of residents from the region.
"We heard explosions and saw people running to save their lives. We understood right away that we had to leave," said one of the refugees, expressing a common panic and fear that engulfed the area. Families headed towards shelters, trying to find a safe place where they could hide from danger.
Many of the refugees were left without shelter and the necessary essentials of first necessity. Humanitarian organizations are providing assistance to refugees, distributing humanitarian aid and ensuring medical assistance to those affected.
